MISSION STATEMENT

New Hope

  • Accepts Medicaid and Private Insurance (Network only)
  • Program Type:

o Partial Hospitalization Program

  • Licensed through the NJDHSS
  • Current census: 41-70 clients o Maximum client capacity: 70
  • Average waiting time: 2-3 days from referral to start of program

o Depending on availability of transportation, a client could start as early as 24 hours after referral

  • Receives approximately 6 referrals per month
  • Full and part time services offered

o There is no difference in programming between part time and full time clients

  • Length of Stay for enrolled clients:

o 6 clients enrolled less than 4 months
o 8 clients have been enrolled for 5 to 8 months
o 14 clients have been enrolled for 9 to 12 months
o 18 clients have been enrolled 13 to 18 months
o 8 clients enrolled for 19 months to 2 years
o 2 clients enrolled for longer than 2 years

  • Provide transportation services to and from program and to work, school or other self-care activities for clients who attend part time
  • Accepts to clients 18- 65 years of age

o Populations served:

    • Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
    • Developmental Disabilities
    •          Mental Illness Chemical Abusers (MICA) clients
    •          Primary diagnosis has to be an Axis I diagnosis

    New Hope Behavioral Health Center
    Partial Care Mental Health Program

    Narrative Statement

    This out-patient partial care facility program, opened December 1998, was specifically designed to provide treatment to the multi-problematic adult ages-to 70; adults who suffer from various psychiatric disorders.

    The population of this facility will consist of the severely mentally ill; the mentally ill with maladaptive behaviors; consumers who are resistant to treatment, those who are non-compliant with medications; and those who experience repeated episodes of psychiatric crisis.  These consumers will require intensive and comprehensive treatment which will require innovative programming to meet and identify each patients/consumers needs and we at NHBHC will provide that innovative programming.

    Our program at NHBHC will provide a complete array of services which will be vital in meeting the specific needs of the client.  As a mental health facility NHBHC will provide the consumer with the opportunity not only to recover, but services which will increase the consumer’s capabilities to perform the various activities associated with daily living.

    At NHBHC health care facility consumers will receive a total and complete health care program.  Consumers will be able to recover mentally as well as physically.  This total health care program will provide consumers with mental health counseling and consumers will receive assistance in identifying and utilizing support systems and community resources outside of this facility.

    Consequently, NHBHC provides a coherent method of treatment by infusing close observation, psychiatric evaluation, and health education in a supportive health care community.  This facility will provide cooperative activities which will be implemented to increase the client’s functional awareness and abilities.

    The focus of NHBHC is to promote wellness; physically and mentally.  Consumers who participate in this program will be able to function at the highest level of independence that is possible for the individual consumer to achieve.

    Therefore it is NHBHC philosophy and objective to provide a quality partial care facility which will enable our consumers to maximize their efforts toward total independence and that will assist consumers in establishing community living skills with an on-going effort to reduce and/or eliminate the need for unnecessary hospitalization.

    Alcohol & Drug Program

    Narrative Statement

    The out-patient alcohol and other drug (AOD) program, was specifically designed to provide treatment to the multi-problematic population ages 10 –70, who suffer from various psychiatric/drug and alcohol problems.
    The population at this facility will consist of those dependent, abusing and using substance, consumers who are resistant to treatment, those who are non-compliant with medications; and those who experience repeated episodes of psychiatric crisis. These consumers will require intensive and comprehensive treatment which will require innovative programming to meet and identify each consumer needs and we at NHBHC will provide that innovative programming.

    Our program at NHBHC drug and alcohol services will provide a complete array of services, which will be vital in meeting the specific needs of the consumer.  As a mental health facility NHBHC will provide the consumer with the opportunity not only to recover, but also services which will increase the consumer’s capabilities to perform the various activities associated with daily living and return or enter the workforce.

    At NHBHC consumers will receive a total and complete health care program.  Consumers will be able to recover mentally as well as physically.  This total health care program will provide consumers with mental health counseling and relapse prevention; consumers will receive assistance identifying and utilizing support systems and community resources outside of this facility.

    Consequently, NHBHC drug and alcohol services will provide a holistic method of treatment by infusing close observation, psychiatric evaluation and health education in a supportive health care community.  This facility will provide cooperative activities, which will be implemented to increase the client’s functional awareness and abilities.

    New Hope Behavioral Health Center
    Adolescent/ Children Program

    Narrative Statement

    This Out-Patient Partial Care Adolescent Program was specifically designed to provide a quality treatment to the multi-problematic adolescent/children ages 10 to 17; who suffer from various psychiatric disorders. To assist in maximizing their potential for growth and prepare them for a less restrictive setting and reduce and/or eliminate the need for unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations.

    NHBHC will provide a complete array of services, which will be vital in meeting the specific needs of the consumer.  As a mental health facility we will provide the consumer with the opportunity to grow, learn new coping skills and become a productive part of society with their families.

    NHBHC consumers will receive a total and complete health care program including medication monitoring.  Consumers will be able to recover mentally as well as physically.  This total health care program will provide consumers with mental health counseling and consumers will receive assistance in identifying and utilizing support systems and community resources outside of this facility.

    NHBHC provides a coherent method of treatment by infusing close observation, psychiatric evaluation and health education in a supportive health care community. This facility will provide cooperative activities, which will be implemented to increase the consumer’s functional awareness and abilities.
